In Belarus increased agricultural production

For the first eight months of this year, agricultural production in current prices amounted to Br10. 2 billion and increased in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2016 by 3.6%.

In agricultural companies produced goods for Br9,1 billion, or in comparable prices by 4.9% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In agricultural on September 1, grains and legumes (without maize) were mowed from 95.8% of the area to be cleaned. Just harvested grain in the original recorded weight 7.5 million tonnes, or 7.4% more than on the same date in 2016. The average yield of 35.9 t/ha of harvested area compared with 33,4 kg/ha in 2016.

Belarus continues to work on fodder. On September 1, agricultural organizations harvested forages from grasses 3.9 million tons of fodder units. In the calculation of the conditional head for public livestock they prepared to 11.9 centners of fodder units.

In farms of all categories produced (grown) of livestock and poultry (in live weight) 1,149 million tons or 3.3% more than in January-August of 2016, milk - 4,748 million tonnes (+2.9%).

On September 1, 2017, the number of cattle in the agricultural organizations amounted to 4.3 million animals (1.3%), including cows - 1.4 million heads (0.3% more). The number of pigs amounted to 2.9 million head (1.5% more).
